Common-area improvements refresh prominent building in St. Louis’ loft district.

The Lofts @ 1000 project involved renovations to common areas and the management office of the historic Merchandise Mart building, located in downtown St. Louis’ loft district. Rooftop renovations included removal of the concrete paver/floating floor system, roof replacement below paver deck and other select areas of the roof, leveling and replacement of existing pavers with new accent tiles, construction of a new pergola and reinforcement of an existing pergola, new gas service for grill stations and fire pits, and new artificial turf dog park built on pedestals, with irrigation system and ADA ramp. Entertainment room upgrades included new appliances, lighting, painting, carpet, and cedar slat wall installation. Atrium and office renovations included construction of work/meeting pods in the first-floor common area, new carpet, extensive painting, installation of wall graphics (honoring the building’s mercantile days), new floor outlets, and new string lighting.
