Renovation of an occupied, 15-story apartment building for seniors and persons with disabilities.

Financed with low-income housing tax credits, and part of the Columbia Missouri Housing Authority’s multi-year plan to upgrade its aging housing stock, the Paquin Tower Apartments project involved the renovation of a 15-story apartment building for seniors and persons with disabilities, comprising 200 units. Exterior improvements included masonry restoration, recaulking windows, rebuilding concrete stairs and deck, and repainting face and canopy. Sitework included new sidewalks to meet ADA requirements, resealed parking lots, and reinstallation of an under-slab de-icing system. Interior improvements included the modernization of two passenger elevators, including updates for ADA requirements, new plumbing fixtures, water heaters, flooring, doors, cabinets, appliances, range hoods, exhaust fans, etc. All units were rebuilt to meet ADA requirements. Renovations were completed while residents remained in the building.
