Award-winning, scattered site rehab project is a model of affordable housing, historic preservation, and sustainable construction.

Located in St. Louis’ historic Fox Park, St. Francis DeSales, and Tower Grove East neighborhoods, the East Fox Homes project involved the gut rehab of 12 buildings into 48 apartments and 1 commercial space. Financed using both historic preservation and low-income housing tax credits, renovations included significant masonry restoration, all new mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems, new roofs, new historic windows, and all new interior finishes and appliances. The development also included an extensive sitework package, consisting of new utilities, sidewalks, parking areas, fencing, and landscaping. East Fox Homes met Energy Star standards and followed National Association of Home Builders sustainable design guidelines for substantial rehabilitation. The project received the St. Louis Business Journal’s 2018 Building St. Louis Awards—Renovation More Than $5 Million category.
