New 50-unit senior living facility includes eco-conscious parking lot and green space for residents.

Built on the former Corpus Christi campus in the St. Louis suburb of Jennings, the Fairview Village Senior Living project involved the demolition of a former parish house and construction of a 50-unit apartment building for seniors. Financed with low-income housing tax credits and HOME funds, the project included construction of a four-story, slab-on-grade, panelized, wood frame structure, with brick veneer, Hardie plank siding, wood roof trusses, asphalt shingle roofing, elevators, laundry facilities on each floor, and a community room. Sitework included all new utilities, fencing, landscaping, monument sign, extensive grading for new parking area, eco-friendly permeable parking and bioretention areas, spacious patio, and a beautiful park area with benches and winding sidewalk. The project received Enterprise Green Communities certification.
