Mike Harris
Mike Harris is the Founder and C.E.O. of E.M. Harris Construction Company. Since the company’s incorporation in 1989, the company, with the vision of Mr. Harris, has helped to revitalize St. Louis. Mr. Harris has established a strong hold on the governmental residential projects in the city. Mr. Harris has received numerous awards for his continued involvement in the city of St. Louis. High minority participation and diligent Section 3 implementation has earned Mr. Harris recognition from the State of Missouri Senate. Mike Harris has been a Licensed Real Estate Broker for the State of Missouri for over twenty years. Mr. Harris has recently certified for Multi-Family Inspection by the Mortgage Banker’s Association.
Kevin Buchek, Esquire
Kevin Buchek serves as President for E.M. Harris Construction Company. As President, Kevin Buchek monitors contract administration, handles any legal issues and drafts and negotiates all contracts for E.M. Harris. Kevin Buchek received his law degree from St. Louis University Law School in 2003, and is a member of the Missouri bar. Kevin Buchek currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Trustees for the Village of Bel-Nor, is a board member for Child Center Marygrove and is a graduate of the FOCUS St. Louis Leadership Program.

Kathleen A. Sorkin
Kathleen Sorkin joined the E.M. Harris family in 2005, and currently serves as the Chief Operating Officer for the company. As Chief Operating Officer, Ms. Sorkin oversees the daily operations of the company. Previous experience includes serving as Vice President and Chief Operating Officer for the St. Louis Equity Fund, Inc. Ms. Sorkin has been a licensed Real Estate Broker in the state of Missouri for over twenty years. Ms. Sorkin has been involved with numerous community organizations in the area. She was recently honored for her work with Habitat for Humanity, where she has served as a board member and former President and is a graduate of the FOCUS St. Louis Leadership Program. She currently serves as the Treasurer and Board member for the Downtown Children’s Center.

Philip R. Krull, R.A.
Philip Krull started with E.M. Harris in 1995 and serves as the Senior Vice President, Construction. Philip Krull oversees all projects and coordinates with all entities involved on the project to ensure that the project is completed on time, meets budgetary concerns, and that quality standards are met for the project. Philip is currently overseeing the 14th St. Mall Revitalization project, which will have both residential and commercial components. Others projects include Soulard Market Apartments, Washington Avenue Apartments and Laurel Park Apartments. Before joining E.M. Harris, he was Project Architect for Jeffrey A. Bramilia, AIA Architects & Planners. Philip Krull earned a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kansas and is a Registered Architect for the State of Missouri. Phillip is also on the Board of Directors of the Grand Oak Hill Neighborhood Community Group.

Vic Hoffmeister
Vic Hoffmeister started with E.M. Harris Construction in 2003 and currently works as Vice President. Vic handles a variety of responsibilities such as, conceptual/detail estimating, purchasing, scheduling, onsite problems and resolutions. At a previous employer, Vic worked as Project Manager on the Chase Park Plaza Restoration and the A.G. Edwards Center. Most recently at E.M. Harris, Vic oversaw the work at the Irving School Building project including the adaptive reuse of the historic school to 61 units along with additional new construction and rehabilitation to the surrounding area. Vic has Associate Degrees in Business Administration and Construction Management. Vic Hoffmeister also has a Certificate of Proficiency in Mechanical Drawing.

Sean King, A.I.A.
Sean brings with him fifteen years of experience to E.M. Harris and Capital Consultants Inc. His impressive portfolio highlights his skills for conceptualizing the site and providing construction alternatives for Senior and Market Rate Multi-Family Housing and Mixed-Use Historic Renovations. Sean serves as the Senior Vice President of E.M. Harris Construction Company, and President of Capital Consultants Inc. Prior to joining EMH and CCI, Sean served as an Architect and Project Manager with Rosemann & Associates, P.C. Sean King graduated from Drury University with a Bachelor’s in Architecture. He is a licensed Architect for the State of Missouri and is a member of the American Institute of Architects.
